The Popular Show Campaign 4 Unveils the Soldiers Table

Ever since the premiere of Campaign 4, fresh DM Brennan Mulligan has maintained audience suspense with extensive world-building, a colorful mix of characters, and a gripping narrative showcasing celestial beings, fiends, and dark forces growing in strength within the urban setting.

Heads-up: Spoilers for the latest installment of this adventure follow below.

The Warrior Group Revealed

The third episode finished on a dramatic pause and revealed the first table of adventurers who will separate from the central cast to begin their separate journey, separate from the remaining groups.

The combat-focused team features the determined fighter (portrayed by Travis Willingham), the nimble rogue (Laura Bailey), the fierce warrior (the cast member), the cleric (Sam Riegel), and Kattigan Vale (Robbie Daymond).

The Reason for Division

With an extensive roster, it was obvious from the outset that having everyone at the same party would be impossible.

This explains, the initial installments of this story serve as an Overture, intertwining the characters’ stories before splitting into three smaller tables: Soldiers, Strategists, and Explorers.

What Defines the Warrior Group

Per Brennan Lee Mulligan, the Soldiers table is for adventurers who are drawn to a classically intense battle-oriented gameplay experience where peaceful solutions are few and far between.

Upon first impression, characters like the squeamish cleric Wicander might appear mismatched, but the events of the third episode make it clear why these five characters are perfectly fit for the Soldiers table.

Motivations for Departure

To begin with, the party knows exactly where to go next after a brutal first encounter with the antagonists.

An old friend of the deceased character—whose demise initiated the narrative’s action—manipulated the foes for his personal gain, invading the secret base, striking the rogue, and stealing all the magical artifacts to dispose of.

Casimir then paid off his liabilities and fled to a Halovar stronghouse in Gormalay, Timmony, beyond the city, with Cyd pursuing him.

Personal Motivations

Moreover, each character has a specific drive to depart Dol-Makjar:

  • The rogue, as the close ally and best friend, wants vengeance.
  • Kattigan knows the northern area and cautions that it is a nasty location.
  • Tyranny and Wicander, having disobeyed his house’s orders to eliminate the fighter and instead rescued him, have no other options.
  • However, their status as key figures in the powerful family could enable the team access areas they normally couldn’t.
  • Furthermore, The fighter vowed a eternal obligation to Wicander for his deliverance and will now follow him wherever.

Fugitives

Lastly, all of them are hunted by the powers that govern Dol-Makjar for a range of causes, making lingering locally too risky:

  • Thimble and The character are notorious outlaws.
  • The strong figure and The cleric betrayed House Halovar and the legion of demons they are partnered with.
  • The fighter is wanted dead by House Halovar.

This results in them few options but to travel to Timmony in pursuit of Casimir.

What’s Next?

From the latest episode’s follow-up content, we find out that the Soldiers table will be absent in the upcoming installment, leaving the remaining eight players to round up the Questers and Schemers groups.

Audiences can look forward to discovering which characters will be where in the story’s final introductory chapter, released on October 24.
